Back like we never left, welcome to the 2/7 edition of “New Music Friday.” Today’s slate of releases is packed with a diverse collection of drops, including Denzel Curry & Kenny Beats, Brent Faiyaz, Pop Smoke, and more.

Fresh off their episode of The Cave, the YouTube show where Kenny Beats invites rappers into his recording studio to record freestyles and demonstrate the beat construction process, Denzel Curry and Kenny have linked for a collab EP, UNLOCKED. Coming in at a succinct eight-tracks, their joint venture is a fun experience that distills both artists’ distinct qualities.

Next up, Brent Faiayz delivers his first 2020 project, Fuck The World. Following his 2018 EP, Lost, Brent’s new body of work continues his exploration into conflating hip-hop with R&B, creating a textured offering in the process. Fuck The World clocks in at 26-minutes, spanning 10-tracks.

Taking a stylistically antithetical approach, Pop Smoke, arguably New York’s leading drill movement player, has come through with his new project, Meet The Woo 2. A 13-track collection, Pop’s follow-up to his successful 2019 album (Meet The Woo) features Lil Tjay, A Boogie, Quavo, and Fivio Foreign.

Additionally, Meek Mill and Justin Timberlake have linked up on the former’s new single, “Believe.”
