In a world of uncertainty, one absolute is that whenever 2 Chainz drops a track, it’s going to be a clever, wordplay-ladened banger. On his most recent track, “Virgil Discount,” with the help of Skooly, he continues that rich tradition.
With an ear for production and melodies, Tity Boi not only offers comedic value with his raps, but also creates compelling sonic products. But there’s no denying that his bread and butter resides in his humor: “I go to sleep in designer (psych), I go to sleep in vagina,” 2 Chainz raps over the flute-accented production.
And “Virgil Discount” is an entertaining loosie on its own accord, it’s an overture for even more exciting news.
Announced through his Instagram, “Virgil Discount” is a single from 2 Chainz’s upcoming project, No Face No Case, due out February 7th. The album will be a compilation endeavor spotlighting burgeoning artists, as it will feature Skooly, Sleepy Rose, Worl, Hott Lockedn, and, of course, Tity himself.
The Pretty Girls Like Trap Music artist captioned his post with, “I might have been quiet for the tail end of last year but really been workin! My biggest goal this year is to change someone else’s life. I’m excited to present “NO FACE NO CASE” with my young Playa partners.”
