The internet has facilitated the rise of many artist’s careers, and even birthed an entire hip-hop sub-genre generation—i.e. the SoundCloud rappers. One individual who capitalized on this more than potentially anyone is the polarizing Tay-K: the 17-year-old rapper wanted on murder charges. His track, “The Race”, propelled him to internet superstardom, receiving the remix treatment from a host of famous artists. Despite reaching peak popularity over the summer, this track still has legs, as it was just remixed by 21 Savage and his cousin Young Nudy.
