Curtis is back at it with the release of a new street single, “They Burned Me.”  Over a soulful instrumental courtesy of R.N.O. Productions, 50 returns to his roots, spitting about free money bums and industry snakes.  It’s become a rarity to hear Fiddy sound vulnerable and spit gravel, as he sounds legitimately irked by ongoing conflict in his life outside the game (“my son he love me, but she try to poison his mind/acting like everything they got ain’t come from grind/I say a prayer for her, like ‘God, please change her heart’/all this hatred at one time is tearing me apart.”  It’s good to hear 50 Cent spitting like he has something to prove once again.

In other news, the G-Unit mogul took to Twitter to issue a well-founded statement criticizing the American college institution.  50 tweets, “most people think having a bachelors degree or a masters equates to there level of intelligence I think it reflects there ability to retain information short term. You know long enough to pass a test. They don’t apply it if they did we would be over populated with successful people.”  As a college graduate, I can definitely agree with this statement.  Almost all of my tests were passed on the fly, with just an hour of cramming before forgetting that information immediately following the exam.  50 goes on to ponder why the professors teaching business in college who seems to know everything [are not] rich and [too] busy to teach [their] class.”  That’s sort of like wondering why psychics aren’t out winning the lottery.
