Mike Stylezz 50 Cent just did something real big for NYC and hip hop in general, 50 wanted his own version of a summer jam but bigger and better so he started the ThisIs50 festival, the difference with this and a concert is it wasn’t just celebrating Fif and the G-Unit but the whole hip hop scene and he called out the big guns like Jadakiss and D-Block, Red Café, Cory Gunz, Maino,Wyclef Jean, Kid Cudi and Wale. Fifty Said:
“I wanted to make a festival that didn’t necessarily have to have an artist [who has a] single in rotation at the time,” 50 explained to MTV News at the show. “That doesn’t directly reflect good hip-hop. It reflects marketing dollars spent by the major corporations, the companies. Tonight we have everybody that means something to us musically in one spot. When I bring Cory Gunz, Trav, Maino …”
I give him props though because he brought the majority of The Diplomats ( Still no Killa Cam) back together, and with all the beef and the problems in that crew that was not an easy feat, so watch the video below and give the man props.
