Another week is in the books, which only means one thing: an updated Forever Cold❄️ playlist.

For the uninitiated, Forever Cold❄️ is a weekly curated Spotify playlist that highlights the week’s dopest drops. From perennial stars to rising artists, our playlist takes an astute comb to the voluminous releases to present a playlist of the most necessary heat.

This week’s list includes: Pop Smoke, The Kid LAROI, Lil Baby, Spillage Village, Tyla Yaweh, and more.

Forever Cold❄️’s new number one belongs to the late Pop Smoke’s first posthumous record, “Make It Rain” featuring Rowdy Rebel — the GS9 rapper. Pop Smoke, taken at only 20-years-old, put New York rap back on the map, leading the popular Brooklyn Drill movement. He was a leader and a pioneer; he was poised to become hip-hop’s next big thing. “Make It Rain” is the first single of Pop’s inaugural post mortem album, scheduled for a July 3rd release. Rest easy, Pop Smoke.

Juice WRLD, another artist taken way before his time, has also made this week’s list through his feature on The Kid LAROI’s new track, “GO.” This feature is the latest posthumous Juice offering, following his collaboration with Trippie Redd on “Tell Me U Luv Me” and his assist on Polo G’s “Flex.” RIP, Juice.

Including two of hip-hop’s dearly-departed, and most promising artists to boot, definitely sets a melancholic tone for this week’s playlist. And while their song doesn’t speak about their deaths, Spillage Village’s new track, “End of Daze,” captures the morbid climate that has plagued this year thus far. The Dreamville group released an official music video alongside the single, supplementing the beautiful art with poignant videos.

Lil Baby has also come through with a new single today, “The Bigger Picture,” which follows Spillage Village’s reflective and introspective direction. The Atlanta standout speaks on the multiple forces collaborating to make this one of the — objectively — hardest years in recent memory.

Ending things on a positive note, the quickly-rising Tyla Yaweh has tapped his mentor and friend, Post Malone, on the melodic “Tommy Lee.” The Motely Crew founding member certainly has led a rockstar lifestyle throughout his 40+ years in the industry, making him an idol for those chasing this fast-paced life. Tyla and Posty answer the call with their new single.

Other artists added to this week’s list include: Teejay3k, NLE Choppa, Tsu Surf, Smokepurpp, Ambush Buzzworl, and Pink Sweat$.
