I remember back in the day when 2Pac got acquitted of shooting two off-duty cops in Atlanta and the vivid image of him walking out of the courtroom with his George Jefferson strut. My dad was watching and said to me “He’s gonna be dead in about 2 years”. He was dead in three at that corner of the Las Vegas strip with Suge Knight at the wheel. I never want to be known as someone who wishes death on anyone, but just like my pop, I have to call it like I see it. The rapper we know as Waka Flocka Flame may not be around long if he continues down the path he’s going.

In the shortness of his career, he’s been involved in a couple of shootings, been shot and is showing no signs of slowing down. He recently did a concert in Gary, IN where 8 teenagers were shot outside of his concert. He’s also sparking up a supposedly dead beef between his click and Young Jeezy’s CTE. It’s almost like his presence is creating violence – which is a bad thing. On top of the actual events he’s actively gangbanging and his mentor/boss Gucci Mane is currently in jail dealing with his own self-preservation issues. He’s surrounded by a sea of violence and void of any calming factors (i.e. people with common sense).

I’m not sure if anyone is reaching out to Waka on some grown man sh!t and talking to him about his life, but he needs it. There is a certain understanding you get once you know what’s really important in life. If you are lucky, you find out before they drop you six feet into the ground. I’m in no way judging his decisions or actions, but when you have seen a train wreck before, you can tell when another one is about to happen. I’ve heard him talk and I’m very familiar with where he’s from – so I know he’s not stupid. Sometimes we have to just take our foot off the gas and slow down – not hit the brakes, but just get better control of the vehicle we’re in and watch the signs.
