The cerebral TDE artist is back.
Top Dawg Entertainment’s lyrical/psychadelic ambassador, Ab-Soul, has been quite on the musical front lately — four-years, to be exact. With his last release coming from his 2016 Do What Thou Wilt. album, there’s been an Ab-Soul drought. Today, in honor of Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith’s birthday, Soulho has come through with a brand new single, “Dangerookipawaa Freestyle.”
Producer Devin Williams supplies Ab-Soul with a soulful, textured instrumental — sounding like a mixture of Madlib and Kanye — to allow the cerebral MC do what he does best: spin the listener a web of wordplay en route to paiting a rich sonic mosaic.
