The former Brockhampton rapper delivers a vulnerable self-reflection.

In May 2018, former Brockhampton rapper, Ameer Vann, was removed from the group amid sexual misconduct allegations. Behavior inconsistent with the group’s inclusive mentality and rhetoric, the popular boy band made the executive decision to extricate Ameer to continue their harmonious messaging. Two Brockhampton albums (iridescence, Ginger) later, and Ameer has returned to the musical stage with his new EP, EMMANUEL.

An honest, self-reflective, vulnerable journey, Ameer’s six-track, 16-minute EP offers first-hand insight into his Brockhampton departure. Vann’s exit was internally and externally contentious — not only did Brockhampton lose an integral member, and arguably their best rapper, but Ameer’s mental health waned tremendously in the wake of the misconduct and resulting dismissal.

On EMMANUEL, Ameer answer questions as he lends his truths to an array of production courtesy of Hit-Boy, Cool & Dre, G-Dav, and others.
