Their union made for some of hip-hop’s greatest collaborative and solo output; their break-up rocked the industry’s ethos. Birdman and Lil Wayne were once rap’s most sought after duo, known for enlisting a complementary style that relished in their harmonized approach. However, as is so often the culprit in these disintegrations, business supplanted their friendship, rearing its ugly head more and more as time passed, culminating in their public beef and breakup. Luckily, it seems like everything is finally copasetic, and YMCMB can resume business as usual.
On Saturday August 25th, at Lil Weezyana Fest 2018, Birdman took center stage to issue his sincere apology to Wayne, saying that what they’ve done, and what they’ll continue to do, has been cemented in hip-hop lore; this feud will serve as caveat to an otherwise illustrious partnership. Accepting blame for conducting poor and hurtful business acumen, Birdman confessed to his wrongdoings. Finally, it seems like the hatchet is buried, and we can look forward to this fruitful relationship continue to blossom.
With their dually-loaded starpower and influence, it seems like, as Wayne once proclaimed, the sky is the limit.
