Blac Youngsta never disappoints. The Memphis MC has built an impressive career off his southern-styled raps, typically over trap-styled production, and comedic aesthetic (“Little bitch!”). But today, the Heavy Camp rapper’s new single, “Forgiveness,” has a different edge.
In an honest tone, Blac Youngsta’s fresh track is all about asking for… forgiveness. Accepting his past transgressions and looking to make amends, “Forgiveness” shows somewhat of a matured Youngsta, and bodes well for his artistic development.
Spitting over a dynamic instrumental that conflates trap and G-Funk inspiration, Blac Youngsta’s pen game is on point as ever, and his beat selection continues to impress.
