the best years of our lives drops soon.

Self-proclaimed best boy band since One Direction, Brockhampton has enjoyed a furious, unconventional rise. While they went on a 2017 tirade by dropping three acclaimed albums, they’ve curtailed their release strategy, honing all focus towards their forthcoming project, the best years of our lives. Last night, they released their new song, and accompanying video, “1998 TRUMAN”.

Hinging upon their eccentric, distinct personalities and intrepid thinking, Brockhampton has carved out a fruitful pocket for themselves in this dense landscape. However, after kicking out focal rapper Ameer Vann amid sexual assault accusations, their future was unknown. After releasing their first post-Ameer single, “1999 WILDFIRE”, fans let out a collective sigh of relief, elated that the group didn’t lose what made them so different. Brockhampton continues embarking upon an Ameer-free group with their new release, “1998 TRUMAN”.

Despite losing out on one of their most skilled MCs, Brockhampton is still impressively voyaging forward, proving that one member can’t make or break this group’s impenetrable bond. They are a collective; one who leverages each other’s unique talents to create a musical mosaic.
