Buju Found Guilty In Cocaine Conspiracy Case

Update: More details on the case.

Ouch…I guess the whole I was just pretending to buy and sell coke defense doesn’t work anymore.  The case seems kind of complicated.  I know Bucky Turco of AnimalNY is convinced he is innocent and he knows a lot more of the case’s details.  Plus their was a mistrial so that tends to be an indicator that the evidence might be suspect.  According to Go Jamaica:

  • Buju was found guilty on conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of cocaine.  He was also found guilty for attempting to possess five kilograms or more of cocaine. He was found guilty for aiding and abetting others in using a communication facility in the commission of a felony.  He was found not guilty for knowingly and intentionally possessing a firearm in furtherance of and during the course of a drug-trafficking crime.This trial, which began on February 14, was the second attempt of the US government to convict the Jamaican artist. A first trial last year was declared a mistrial after jurors failed to arrive at a unanimous position.

He has yet to be sentenced.

New Music: Denzel Curry – “Ultimate”

When are we getting some new Denzel Curry? 2013's Nostalgic 64 was one of the best hip-hop records released that year. But sadly since then the Miami rapper has barely released much. Sure, Curry has given us stuff like "Feel Like That" and "Certified" but frankly I'm waiting on some full length material. Be it an album or mixtape. I don't care. And listening to Denzel Curry's new track "Ultimate" has me hyped tenfold for whatever he has in store.
