The Texas artist starts the year off swinging.

It’s only been about two-years since Cap Gold made his official music introduction with the explosive hit, “HighClass Fever.” Now, the 20-year-old upstart is poised to continue that momentum into the new year with his bouncy offering, “Spicin.”

Boiling in a melting pot of influences, Cap Gold’s initial 2020 track has the unmistakable 808s of a trap record, but conflates that modern staple with shades of western sonics to impart genuine dynamism. Coupled with Cap’s proclivity for melodics, “Spicin” confirms that the Texas artist is ready for his moment by challenging the status quo. For Cap Gold, ordinary won’t be tolerated — he’s here to push limits.

The track comes courtesy of the indie label, Babygrande Records.

A standout on A3C Volume 8, released last year, Cap has watched his star steadily rise off the strength of equal parts pure talent and tenacity. “Spicin” arrives on the heels of Cap Gold co-headlining the inaugural Texas-based GoldFest, where he tore down the stage alongside the likes of 10K.Caash and Blake.

Cap Gold is here turning a moment into momentum. With “Spicin,” he’s capitalizing on this distinct opportunity.
