The beloved Curren$y is out here proving why he’s one of the game’s most prolific rappers. Just yesterday, he linked with the old Jet Life crew — featuring Young Roddy & Trademark Da Skydiver — and today, Spitta is back with a new solo single, “Right Now.”
True to form, Curren$y effortlessly glides over the laidback production, speaking on the cornerstones of his life: weed, happiness, and cars. And, in keeping in classic Curren$y fashion, the release of “Right Now” is part of a grander statement: Curren$y has also announced a new album will be dropping soon, Hot In August.
The upcoming Curren$y project will technically be his fifth 2019 project; he released collaborative endeavors with Berner, Pheno Grigio, Jay Worthy & LNDN Drugs, Umbrella Symphony, Wiz Khalifa, 2009, and Statik Selektah, Gran Turismo.
Two songs in two days, and now Spitta’s about to put out his fifth 2019 project. Yes, Curren$y is as prolific as ever.
