No Dope on Sundays should be… dope.
Ahead of one of the year’s most anticipated projects, CyHi has released another incredible single, “God Bless Your Heart”, off of the forthcoming No Dope on Sundays. At just one week away, the three singles we’ve heard suggest that this suspense is deserved, and that he is going to deliver a classic album. Sure, the pressure on CyHi’s shoulders is acutely intense, however he seems ready to answer the beckoning call.
Executively produced by the master sampler himself, Kanye West, “God Bless Your Heart” is covered in Ye’s ingenious fingerprints. The soulful instrumental—structured by horns akin to Lupe’s “Around My Way [Freedom Ain’t Free]”—extracts CyHi’s intoxicating flow and lyricism. All’s I can say is, No Dope on Sundays should hopefully live up to the hype.
