A huge congrats to DaBaby!

When you’re hot, you’re hot — and right now, DaBaby is on fire. Capitalizing on his swelling buzz from hit debut album, Baby On Baby, the Carolina rapper has wasted no time supplementing his brand equity by dropping his sophomore album, KIRK, only seven months later. Now, DaBaby officially has a No. 1 album on his hands.

Moving a whopping 145,000 album equivalent units, KIRK fiercely continues DaBaby’s journey into the rare territory of being commercially viable while making critically-recognized music; KIRK has received positive reviews, including a 7.6/10 from Pitchfork. Of the 145k units, 8,000 came from pure album sales, making 181.7mm on-demand audio streams the year’s fifth-largest debut streaming week.

KIRK was up against Kevin Gates’ sophomore album, I’m Him, as well as Young M.A.’s official debut, Herstory In The Making. Regardless of the stiff competition, DaBaby emerged victorious, and his career is auspicious positioned for continued success.

DaBaby’s second album features the single “INTRO,” and features from Chance the Rapper, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Migos, and more.
