SamLast Friday I wrote a whole article about how many people within the music industry stay with their hands out asking for free money. Then today this video of David Banner discussing his work in advertising hit the internets. I thought David highlighted some important points. 1) It’s cool to make money in non-traditional ways. I bet you David made more money of his gatorade commercial than 99% of his production work in the rap game. 2) Create your own opportunities. He didn’t sit around waiting for people to even give him a chance. He went out and created a concept for a Motorola ad. Shot it using his own resources. Then got his check after the company approved it. Now that is how you make moves in this game. Salute!
