Legendary comedian Rudy Ray Moore A.K.A Dolemite passed away on Friday (October 17) due to complications from diabetes. He started his career as a stand-up comedian in and garnered fame after co-writing and starring in the 1975 classic blaxploitation film Dolemite. His persona has been copied and imitated b y the likes of emcees such as Snoop Dogg, Lil Kim, Too Short and collaborated with 2 Live Crew and Big Daddy Kane. At press time, funeral arrangements are being finalized in Toledo, Ohio.
