According to Billboard, Death Row Records forgot to pay Dr. Dre.  And for that Dre and his legal team are reminding them by filing a law suit against Death Row Records and its parent companies. Dre is suing for unpaid royalties.

The lawsuit claims that Dre’s attorneys notified the new owners of Death Row that he was owed royalties, Dre also claims the label released “The Chronic” original, “The Chronic Re-Lit” which had bonus tracks and a greatest hits collection. Dre’s original contract with Death Row didn’t include digital distribution rights, according to the lawsuit.

Dre is seeking unspecified damages of more than $75,000 for several claims, including breach of contract, false advertising, trademark infringement and misappropriation of publicity.

You are only going to see more of this as the music business continues to disintegrate.
