Including collaborations with Fivio Foreign, Playboi Carti, and more.

In a world of overwhelming uncertainty, at least one thing is resoundingly clear: Drake will be coming through with his long-anticipated album soon — very soon. Last night, the 6 God teased a slew of cuts rumored to be included in the album, shared by OVO Mark on his Instagram Live.

With over a decade of experience under his belt, Drake has managed to not only stay relevant, but maintain omnipresence through a collection of strategic moves: he knows how to craft a hit; he knows how to play into social media trends (i.e. “Toosie Slide” being tailor made for TikTok); he knows how to be endearingly self-deprecating; and he knows that paying homage to burgeoning trends and artists is not only a sign of respect, but an apt way of bolstering his popularity.

On one of the tracks previewed is a joint effort with Fivio Foregin, the ascending Brooklyn star, showing Drake’s astute ability to continue collaborating with rising artists who will breathe new life into his storied career.

Additionally, the long-hyped collaboration with Playboi Carti, “Pain 1993,”  received the teaser treatment, quelling rumors and questions of this anticipated dual effort would ever materialize. It’s expected to appear on Carti’s upcoming Whole Lotta Red album.
