Dropping this Friday.

The parallels between Drake and LeBron James are stark: both are veterans yet remain at the top of their games and are the faces of their respective industries. With LeBron winning his fourth NBA championship and fourth finals MVP award, and Drake still commanding more attention than any other pop star or rapper, these two are cut from the same cloth — an extremely rare one, at that.

And while each are dominant forces individually, they are perhaps even better at facilitating, at putting their teammates in a position to win.

Drake has shrewdly done this throughout his career by hopping on features for various burgeoning artists or requesting their presence on his tracks: Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Lil Durk and the list goes on. The common denominator from these collaborations is heightened focus on the ancillary artist, tremendously aiding their ascents.

After tapping Durk for his most recent viral hit, “Laugh Now Cry Later,” Drake is back helping out another artist primed to blow up, Yung Bleu.

Yung Bleu, the Alabama product, recently posted a potentially career-transforming DM exchange with the 6 God. In their conversation, Drake reaches out to Bleu to request that they do a remix. Unsurprisingly, Yung Bleu ecstatically complied.

The song in question is “You’re Mines Still,” and the official remix will be out this Friday, October 16th.
