Her new album, Magdalene, drops on October 25th.

It’s been five-years since FKA Twigs released an album, LP1. An industry darling with a penchant for crafting eclectic, engaging music, fans of the talented singer have been clamoring for the next chapter in her discography. Yesterday, the 31-year-old British singer answered the call by announcing her next album, Magdalene, will drop next month, October 25th. She supplemented the exciting news by releasing her single, “holy terrain” featuring Future.

An ethereal figure, FKA Twigs sings in a hauntingly beautiful tone on “holy terrain” as she bares her soul on the emotional cut. Playing vocal jump rope with the progressive trap production, “holy terrain” creates a unique soundscape that pairs perfectly with Future’s slowed-down, distorted flow to impart contrasting yet complementary vibes.

“holy terrain” was released alongside a music video as well, premiered 18-hours-ago, directed by FKA herself and Nick Walker. Much like the song itself, the visual is a well-produced experience that invokes excitement for the first FKA Twigs album in half-a-decade.
