Bandana Beats drops January 31st.

Freddie Gibbs and Madlib — collectively known as MadGibbs — struck gold with their sophomore collab album, Bandana. The successor to the 2014 Piñata, their recent endeavor landed on every noteworthy year end list, including top billing on HotNewHipHop and the penultimate spot on Complex. Now, they are readying the album’s instrumental version.

Both Freddie and Madlib posted on IG about the album’s impending alternative version, which is slated for a January 31st release. Entitled Bandana Beats, the accessory project follows Piñata’s lead, as their rookie joint effort also received the instrumental treatment.

Bandana Beats will be released under Madlib Invazion, ESGN Records, Keep Cool and RCA.
