GET UP GET ON UP

Rumor has it that the financially troubled actor Wesley Snipes is being tipped by Spike Lee to play the role of James Brown in an up and coming movie about the Soul Legend who died back in 2006 from heart failure. Wasn’t Snipes sentenced to three years though for tax evasion? Spike might want to get on and shoot that movie before Snipes is sent away for a while. Of course this isn’t the first time that Lee has selected Snipes to play a leading role, Wesley played the male lead in Jungle Fever back in 1991, one of Spike Lee’s first movies.
