It’s been 13 YEARS since the Notorious B.I.G was shot dead in Los Angeles at the age of 24. While his murder has never been solved, his mother, Voletta Wallace filed a suit against L.A. city officials and the LAPD in 2002, blaming them for her son’s death. She won the case in March, 2006 and was awarded $1.1 million by U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper, however the ruling was overturned two months later when it it was revealed that the Wallaces had withheld information from the court.
After several hearings, federal court Judge Jacqueline Nguyen dismissed the lawsuit earlier this week. Taking the money away from her was grimey as hell but when it comes to the feds you never win.
