The trap god always has his ear to the streets.

Rising internet rapper, Lil Wop, has finally caught the ear of his idol and moniker-inspirer, Gucci Mane. Earlier today, the trap god announced that he’d signed the Atlanta upstart to his 1017 Eskimo labels, which is distributed by Alamo Records through Interscope. In addition to snatching up Lil Wop, Gucci also inked a deal with the South Dark rapper, Hoodrich Pablo Juan today.

The news comes on the heels of 1017 Eskimo’s inaugural signing, 22-year-old Ralo—another Atlanta native. Cultivating these young guns is a continuation in a longline of wise moves for Wizop, as these kids display consistently strong streaming numbers, and roll with the right people.

Lil Wop is frequently seen collaborating and hanging out with the “Love Scars” rapper, Trippie Redd. While these guys seem to have recently emerged on the scene, they’ve wasted no time making the noise necessary to garner industry and fan attention. Whether or not they pan out is a different story, but for right now they seem like a prosperous investment.
