Variety is reporting that Jamie Foxx and Method Man have linked up to deliver a new Television horror anthology.  The show which is tentatively titled, Night Tales is said to be “a hybrid of ‘Tales From the Crypt’ and ‘The Twilight Zone,’” and will be hosted by Denise Richards and Stacey DashNight Tales is produced by No Brainer Films, the brainchild of Foxx and co-producer/co-writer Deon TaylorMethod Man along with Tom Arnold and Jason Mewes star in various segments of the show’s proposed 26 half-hour episodes, which span two seasons.  As of now, Nightales will not feature anything overtly graphic in terms of violence, although “Taylor said a cable sale might allow the creators to push the envelope content-wise more than a network sale.”  Currently, no network has picked up Night Tales, but there are plans to extend the brand into the comic book market and also develop a web series around it.

This has the potential to be entertaining or very lame.  I liked Tales From The Crypt as a kid, so there might be a nostalgia factor to this.  The title Night Tales sounds like something that would air on Skinemax more than a horror show.  We’ll see how this develops.
