Is TM104 almost upon us?
In the spring of 2018, Jeezy delivered a bittersweet message announcing his impending retirement: “Now class is coming to a end. It’s time for Graduation! My Last Album & Final Class: TM104 -#TrustYaProcess.” Today, it seems like he’s given us the first preview of what’s to come with his surprise single, “1 Time”
In classic Jeezy fashion, his latest song is a hard-hitting anthem that supplements the Trap or Die rapper’s legacy as one of the game’s most impactful trappers. Produced by Sonaro and DJ Ace, “1 Time” strategically offers energetic sonics while simultaneously allowing enough breathing room for Jeezy to tell his street tales. The production and lyrics coalesce to create yet another great track from Atlanta native.
It’ll be a sad day when Jeezy’s fateful retirement comes to fruition. But the heavy hearts are lifted by reflecting on the mountain of music he’s provided throughout his storied career, and looking fondly to the future of what’s to come on TM104. From the sounds of “1 Time,” Jeezy will be going out on a high note, on his own terms.
