JERMAINE TALKS DEPARTURE

Not sure what the deal is with this as something just doesn’t seem to add up. Anyhow JD spoke out to Essence about his recent departure from Island Def Jam saying that the label did it the way they did it to make themselves look good. Do we believe that? I honestly respect JD as a producer but when it comes to executive decisions is he really on the ball. Can anyone honestly think of one artist that has come out from under Jermaine Dupri’s umbrella to do well in the last five years? Granted he worked with Mariah Carey while over there but she was already established.
Anyhow reading further on, it appears that there is ill feelings between himself and LA Reid now, the man who opened the door and laid the table for JD when he walked into the IDJ family. The mini mogul said “I haven’t spoken to L.A. in three months. I don’t know if it’s amicable [considering] that they claim they put me out. I feel like it’s not amicable. Don’t lie, be real about the situation.”
