Rumored to be off the forthcoming Revenge of The Dreamers III album.

A few weeks ago, a select amount of artists and creatives began posting an invitation that they received from the Dreamville camp to participate in their forthcoming Revenge of The Dreamers III ensemble album. The gold-plated posts became somewhat of an industry status symbol, saying that they were fortunate enough to be hand-picked by J. Cole.

Outside of Dreamville members–which includes the likes of Cole himself, JID, Bas, Cozz, Ari Lennox, and more–TDE members Reason and Isaiah Rashad were invited to these surefire legendary recording sessions, in addition to artists like Buddy, Big K.R.I.T., Lil Baby, 6lack, Ludacris, and plenty more–over 100 artists in total. While most of the information surrounding this release laid within these gold-plated Instagram posts, we’ve recently received some tangible evidence of what to expect musically.

At a show last night, Dreamville’s Scottie Pippen, JID, performed an unreleased song rumored to be included on Revenge of The Dreamers III. A disjointed instrumental can be heard booming from the speakers, laying the foundation for JID’s syncopated flow. In typical JID fashion, he manages to condense a staggering amount of lyrics into the two-minute song, almost as if he’s competing with himself to see how many syllables and words he can squeeze into a rhyme scheme.

While the official Revenge of The Dreamers III release date has yet to be announced, it’s comforting to hear the excellent JID song rumored to be featured on the project.
