Without exaggeration, Joey Bada$$ might be the hardest working guy in hip-hop currently. Over the past several weeks, the Pro Era captain has appeared on two Xxxtentacion tracks, one of which (“infinity (888)”) was featured on X’s number-one album ?, he was featured on lyrically heavy Smoke DZA-helmed “The Mood”, his IG is covered with photos him late night in the studio, and today, he’s added to that list.
Earlier today, Joey debuted his remix to YBN Nahmir’s popular song, “Bounce Out With That”. The hyped-up trap beat typically reserved for those of YBN’s direct peers, Joey uses it to prove that there isn’t any production challenge that can withstand his flow and lyricism. He’s on a mission–plain and simple.
Recently, Joey also announced that he’d given up weed to clear his mind, which as he put, would translate to superior work. Not only has it lead to great quality, it’s lead to more output. Hopefully, the Joey Bada$$ onslaught has only begun.
