Joyner demonstrates why his artistry is on a different level.

Joyner Lucas is an apt storyteller who laces his rhymes with thought, pensiveness, and honesty. His most recent track and video, “I’m Not Racist”, is a vivid representation of this.

Using a heavyset white male, donned with a red “Make America Great Again” hat, as the manifestation of white America, and a black youth with dreads to represent black people, Joyner Lucas transparently issues the racial rhetoric raping our nation. While both sides offer heated debates, ultimately, they come to understand one another. It’s a hope for harmony, for what could be, while not forgetting what is.
