His second since June.

While Juice WRLD might be mostly regarded for his genre-blending aesthetic and emo raps, the Chicago MC is also a deft lyricst. Following in the footsteps of Lil Wayne, Juice proudly never writes down his raps, instead relying on his quick-thinking to convey his pensive lyricism. This astute freestyling abilities have made Juice the focus of such acclaimed freestyles as his own on Big Boy and Tim Westwood TV.

Earlier this summer, Juice took one of the ultimate freestyle tests by entering the dungeon of Funk Flex’s Hot 97 freestyle stage — the platform reserved for real rappers with real bars. Despite adhering to rap’s new wave, Juice proved that he is one of these real rappers with real bars. Yesterday, Juice returned to Funk Flex to prove that his June performance wasn’t a fluke, just an average lyrical sparring match for the Platinum artist.

Joined by hypeman Ski Mask The Slump God, Juice locks in for roughly six-minutes, spitting over a variety of beats while never losing focus. With eyes wide, sweat hugging his temples, Juice dials in to deliver yet another engaging freestyle performance. And unlike the majority of his competition, Juice’s bars are completely off the top — 100% organic.
