Grammy-winning rapper/producer Kanye West is ready to take on the big screen. West will star in a HBO reality series currently being fleshed out with Larry Charles, the director behind the successful HBO show "Entourage" as well the controversial mockumentary "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan."
No title has been picked for Kanye’s series yet, but it’s expected to zoom in on the day-to-day activities of the Windy City rap star. He is also slated to appear in a feature film inspired by his music. The project, backed by New Line Cinema, will paint a portrait of the United States as seen through the eyes of Kanye West and several other filmmakers.
Kanye, a self-proclaimed "Louis Vuitton Don," has released two critically acclaimed rap albums, The College Dropout and Late Registration.
One can only hope that Ye’s reputation for generous self-appraisal does little to impede the success of the so-called reality show.
