Short but sweet.

Key! — the voice featured on projects like Guapdad 4000’s recent Dior Deposits and Makonnen’s I LOVE MAKONNEN — is an unappreciated talent. Sure, artists who actually recognize real love working with the Atlanta artist, like Kenny Beats did on their 2018 collab album, 777, but Key! still manages to fly under the mainstream radar. But that hasn’t — and won’t — stop him from pushing forward, delivering music to those who appreciate him.

Reminding everyone of his skills, Key! came through today with a fire new loosie, “Kirkwood Freestyle.”

Over a layered instrumental, one that finds traction through its friction, Key! demonstrates his diverse vocal abilities, as he croons and raps with that identifiable voice. Clocking in under two-and-a-half-minutes, the only issue with the track is that it’s not long enough.
