Grape_ApeSo Kid CuDi recently released his video for ‘Marijuana’, something which many people found a little ironic, seeing as he also recently announced that he had stopped smoking weed altogether. He had an interview with MTV in which he discusses how the video, which features CuDi getting up to some high jinks in the ‘Dam, was like a final hurrah for his ‘lonely stoner’ days. “Something I decided before [was that] I decided to quit smoking marijuana. However, I didn’t want to deprive people of the footage…[and] the video because of my personal decisions. It was almost like an R.I.P. video to my whole smoking career, because that was a big, big, memorable moment for me and watching it reminds me of those good times we had…it’s kind of like the last hurrah, the last time you’ll ever see me smoking, and it was like the peak. People were like, ‘Why’d you quit?’ It’s like, ‘Man, you know, I’ve been doing it for a while.’ I went to Amsterdam. It doesn’t get much higher than that.”
