The future just keeps getting brighter for Lil Skies.

Pennsylvania’s Lil Skies is having a moment. While he might be lumped in with the rest of the polarizing face tat or “SoundCloud rappers”, Skies is his own entity, with his own brand, soaring to new heights. You might have seen captivating crowds of thousands at his sold out shows, or know him from one of his eight-figure-streamed Spoitfy tracks, like hit record “Nowadays”. No matter how you know him, his brand is only continuing to proliferate. Now, the majors want to cash in on the Skies brand.

Today, it was announced that Lil Skies has signed a Sony/ATV Music worldwide publishing deal. Sony will now take care of the rights to Skies’ music, and believe that they have made a wise investment in the mushrooming star. Sony/ATV VP, Ian Holder, said, “As much as we love what he’s doing right now, I believe he’s only scratching the surface. I think when we are able to look at his body of work years from now, we’ll find an artist who continues to evolve.”

Time will tell.
