Congrats, Uzi!

As the old saying goes, patience is a virtue. No one said that “patience” feels fair, or even tolerable at times, but when that long-desired moment manifests, well, then it all becomes worth it. Such is the case for Lil Uzi Vert’s elusive Eternal Atake album, which dropped last Friday (March 6th). After years (literally) of promises and delays, Uzi’s sophomore LP is available — and just went number-one.

Lil Uzi’s second studio album has also earned him his second number-one Billboard 200 album; he released Luv Is Rage 2 in 2017. For its first week, Eternal Atake moved 288,000 album equivalent units, with only 9,000 coming from pure album sales — a statistic representative of the times.

Moving nearly 300k units — with over 400-million on-demand streams — places Eternal Atake in the top-four streaming debut weeks in history; it is the most since Lil Wayne’s 2018 Tha Carter V, which had 433-million first-week streams.

This past Friday, Uzi dropped the deluxe version (alternatively titled LUV vs. The World 2, which features 14 additional tracks, including features from Young Thug, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Future, and more.
