Lil Yachty has fully entered album mode, preparing for the third installment of his Lil Boat series. Recently, he supplemented the excitement and expectations by releasing the Ronny J-produced freestyle, “Go Krazy, Go Stupid.”
Only 90-seconds long, the brevity of Yachty’s new freestyle acts as more of an announcement than direct sampling of Lil Boat 3. However, despite the track’s raw texture, it acts as a savvy marketing play, drumming-up interest in LB3 while suggesting the artistic direction Yachty plans on helming.
Released on the heels of his soliciting tweet (Can I drop a freestyle on SoundCloud today?), the quick action from the “One Night” rapper emphasizes his sincerity regarding LB3.
