On the surface, Quavo and Madonna might not seem to have too much in common. The former, a diamond-encrusted top-tier rapper; the latter, an icon who began her career in 1979. But what they lack in superficial commonalities, they more than make up for with their deeper connection: as two of the biggest stars of their respective times. (Well, Madonna has transcended generations to remain one of today’s biggest stars.)

Recognizing each other’s talents, the two linked-up on Quavo’s debut solo album, Quavo Huncho, on the ninth track, “CHAMPAGNE ROSÉ,” which also features Cardi B. The product was a success.

This time, Madonna has requested Quavo’s assistance on her latest single, “Future,” off of her forthcoming album, Madame X, due out June 14th.

Tackling a laid-back, reggae-type beat, Madonna and Quavo’s complementary vocal stylings play backup for one another throughout the song, harmonizing to impart a sonically-textured track.

“Future” joins other Madame X singles “Medellin” and “Crave.” The tracklist is also available.
