SamSo apparently their have been rumors that Miguel is gay. Based on the way he presents himself I can’t really say that I blame people. That being said people are always going to be scared of what they don’t understand. When they don’t get something they have to put a label on it. In Miguel’s case the label some people came up with was “gay”. What I do know is that “Sure Thing” joint is official tissue. This was taken from an interview Miguel did with Kenny Burns via NB:
At this point, what I will say is that we really do have the tools at our disposal to broaden our horizons. What I mean by that is that, it’s no longer hard to travel to Japan. A hundred years ago, someone being well traveled would mean that they would have to be affluent, high society in some way shape or form. Either a part of the government or a part of old money where as now it’s easier for us. If you can’t travel physically you can do it via the internet and this allows us to broaden our horizons culturally.
At this point, I’ve embraced a lot of worldly cultural and I made it a part of who I am. People who are here who have not done that may look at my choices artistically, how I express myself visually and ecstatically as questionable, especially to my sexuality. Whereas, people who have traveled or who have done the same, it’s not questionable at all [to them].
I think it’s really a question as to whether or not you’re ignorant to what else is out there or not. I don’t say that in anyway to offend anyone, I’m just saying if you don’t understand you got to catch up. We’re flying. For anyone that questions my sexuality, the honest truth is “I love women. I’ve always only loved women. That’s it.” And women kind of like me too, so it kind of works.
