NLCS Phillies Dodgers BaseballAs much as I don’t like the defending World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies, I’ve gotta give it up to them for showing so much fight and beating the Colorado Rockies in the National League Division Series last night.  A two out rally in the 9th inning–after giving up the lead in the bottom of the 8th–meant the second win in as many days for the Phils, as well as a trip to the National League Championship Series to face off against Joe Torre, Manny Ramirez and the young-but-dangerous Los Angeles Dodgers.  The Phillies are only the fifth champions from the National League to win a post-season series the next year, according to ESPN, giving the Phillies a dangerous swagger going into the next round.  The NLCS will begin on Thursday at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles.
