About a year ago, singer D’Angelo was arrested for offering an undercover policewoman $40 for oral sex. Despite not releasing a solo album in over a decade, D’Angelo’s little run-in made headlines everywhere. Today, the singer pled guilty to disorderly conduct which is only a violation, not a crime. Billboard cites that “In the New York case, prosecutors said [D’Angelo] satisfied conditions they declined to specify; his lawyer, Stacey Richman, declined to comment.”
As previously mentioned, the platinum-selling/Grammy Award winning artist has yet to release an a full-length record since 2000 but has racked up quite a criminal record since then. He has been cited several times for drunk-driving, arrest on numerous occasions for drug-related offenses, pepper-sprayed during a resistant arrest, and in a non-crime related incident, the Virginia singer was “flung from his Hummer and hospitalized for several days after crashing the SUV into a fence.” My advice; get back to making music and lay off the 40 dollar bj’s…
