Last year one artist managed to obtain over 120 million Youtube views. It wasn’t Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye, Lil Wayne, none of them. That artist happened to be MIA’s own Pitbull.

His single “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)”, which you’ve probably heard on the radio or more likely the club, has had 91 million hits alone and is Youtube’s 4th most viewed music video of all time.

If your shocked by this, don’t be. In today’s world if you want to make it in this music game, sometimes you must abandon your morals and that voice that tells you to make quality music. The truth is that the songs that have no meaning and just contain a hot beat and ineligible lyrics are the ones that sell.

Look at Pitbull for example, can you even name a Pitbull album? Probably not, but that doesn’t change the fact that people in today’s world just want to dance and don’t really care about meaningful lyrics, therefore this man was able to obtain the 4th most viewed music video on the worlds biggest video networking site. So all the aspiring artists in the game take a lesson from this guy and go create a song about numbers or whatever he’s talking about.

Although he’s trash, he still gets respect for killin the Youtube game. Not hating the facts, just stating the facts.
