With releases from SremmLife 3, Swaecation, and Jxmtroduction.

The talented duo of Rae Sremmurd has been teasing a musical avalanche for a little while now. What started as a Swae Lee solo album announcement, known as Swaecation, has escalated into a triple disc offering: Swae Lee’s solo project (Swaecation), Slim Jxmmi’s Jxmtroduction, and the collaborative third installment of their acclaimed SremmLife series. Last night, the two officially introduced fans to this triad release strategy by dropping one single from each project.

For starters, Rae Sremmurd dropped the energetic “Powerglide” featuring Juicy J, produced by Mike WiLL, that is consistent with their winning formula of intense sonics and musical duality achieved by Swae and Jxmmi’s polar opposite styles. As always, Swae is the soft, melodic yin to Jxmmi’s serrated rapping aesthetic. Their energies converge, never clash. The two’s individual talents are explored even further on their respective solo tracks, both featuring each other.

Swae enchanted fans with his tranquil “Hurt To Look” over a beat that could’ve easily landed on Bruno Mars’ 24k album. Simply put, it has all the vibes. A microcosm of their radically different styles, Jxmmi’s solo track, “Brxnks Truck” is a gritty, fierce barrage of verbiage exposing the corner’s of Jxmmi’s stream of consciousness. Completely different products, one result: musical excellence.
