Rick Ross Sees Wale As The New Kanye?? Makes Valid Point On Past Correctional Officer Job

Rick Ross has defended his decision to sign Washington D.C. rapper Wale by saying that he likens his unconventional style to that of Kanye West. Ross said of his decision to sign Wale and also Philly rapper Meek Mill:

“They may be unconventional, but to me, it comes naturally…After spending months of my summer working with Kanye I learned and seen so many different visions and ideas come to light. I was there for ‘Flashing Lights,’ when it was actually titled another title that me and Kanye went back and forth about. And when I think about Wale, I think about Kanye.

“And the kind of rhymes Wale has been laying down the last few months, since we been in the studio, I’m pretty sure there’s gonna be a lot of similarities as far as the pictures that he paints…of course, Kanye is one of the greats of our time but I see that same potential in Wale.”

Only time will tell if Ross’s Maybach music group will turn Wale into the next Kanye…For now though, there’s only one Yeezy. Spotted at MTV.

Respect Magazine also recently interviewed the Rosé and he had some on point commentary in regards to his past work as a correctional officer.  Men lie, women lie, number’s don’t!

  • But isn’t it really just about dope music trumps all? It’s not about C.O. talk, it’s if I make the dopest shit, I win?

If I’m the richest n*gga on the block, if I’m the flyest n*gga on the block, it ain’t no way to get around that. If I’m feeding the most n*ggas in the ‘hood, if I’m looking out for the most bitches, and keeping it real with the most n*ggas that I can, it’s no way to get around that. And if you’re doing that, wherever you at, you’re gonna be successful. And at the end of the day, if you’re not successful, no one cares about you. Being successful, making dope records, it’s being a part of dope moments in musical history, you feel me? That’s the only thing I’m concerned about. I have no personal quarrels with no one in this music business-none. I set my goals, my standards. Other than that, it ain’t nothing personal. I f*ck with who I f*ck with, and they know who they are, and anybody else…. I’m all about moneybags. You feel good once you crack that 20 million mark; I wanna know what it’s like to hit 50.

  1. Whats the valid point? Sounds like a load of waffle to me. The C.O. issue is about him portraying an image which is false, but trying to convince us otherwise. Kanye makes good music and money without having to pretend to be something he's not. Ross is effectively telling telling kids that its cool to put yourself in a position where you end up dead or in jail, but he himself has never done any of those things. Why did he DENY IT? He's obviously ashamed of the fact and his statement just dances around the question. Yes he does make some decent music, but homie just needs to step up to the plate and let kids know he's no different from an actor. Something I make sure point out to my children.
