It’s here.

It’s been almost three-years in the making. It’s been subject to two delays due to the tragic passing of two beloved industry figures. Its contents have been rumored and speculated. Now, ScHoolboy Q’s CrasH Talk has finally arrived.

The successor to his critically and commercially-acclaimed Blank Face LP, CrasH Talk, Q’s fifth studio album, comes in at a lean 14-tracks. Joining Q on this journey is an eclectic mix of artists, including: Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, 6lack, Ty Dolla $ign, and YG.

Consistent with his previous releases, CrasH Talk is a departure — or a slight change of course, rather — from Q’s gangster story-laced rhymes and complementary aggressive production, to reflect his matured life perspective. He still reserves tracks — like the album closer, “Attention” — for introspection, but he also speaks on reaping the benefits of his lavish lifestyle that he suffered for in his formative years.

Q not only flips the concepts, he assumes different flows over production that we’re not typically used to from the LA rapper. It’s a breath of fresh air, and shows how Q’s adaptable and dynamic artistry suggest a long future for the TDE member.
