The second LP from the Vallejo-based group.
The world might, rightfully so, be enamored with the long-anticipated Tha Carter V courtesy of Lil Wayne as well as the host of other releases today, but the season of giving is still upon us. Bay Area-based collective SOB x RBE has come through today with their new LP, Gangin II.
The successor to their well-received debut album, GANGIN, Gangin II is a 15-track offering, whose tracklist is decorated by the likes of NBA YoungBoy, Shoreline Mafia, among others. While this is a momentous day for the energetic group, it’s shadowed by some sad news: This will be one of the core member’s, Yhung T.O.’s, final project with the group.
Initially announcing his departure after Gangin II on his Instagram story last week, Yhung T.O. is looking to shed this layer of his musical career to seek out a new solo endeavor. Although breakups are never easy, it doesn’t seem like there’s much contention between group members, as Yhung T.O. recently uploaded a playful picture of him and group member Slimmy B.
Despite the group’s dissolution, they’ve gifted us with one final project, punctuating one successful hell of a ride.
