Guru’s producer and self-proclaimed “best friend”, Solar, recently sat down with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg over at Hot 97.
Solar claims that he and Guru are “brothers from different mothers” and that he trusted him to oversee his medical care during this time. He explains that Guru doesn’t want his health problems to be public, which could be the reason for all the confusion about his current state.
He spoke on Guru’s current condition saying that the rapper is currently in a coma, but not a “medically induced coma”. He suffered from cardiac arrest due to asthma and other lung problems.
Solar also addressed claims by Guru’s nephew Justin, that he was banned from visiting the rapper in the hospital. He says that this is untrue and that Justin and his mother didn’t have much of a relationship with Guru.
Towards the end of the interview, Solar refuses to discuss a tweet that appeared on both Guru’s and his own twitter accounts.
This interview was pretty suspect to begin with, this Solar guy had too many different answers for the same questions…
We’ll have to wait for Guru to make a recovery to get the actual story, but we’ll keep you updated as things develop.
